Message I did just look and it was Pennzoil Gold 15w30. I didn't know anything about being diesel oil though. I am still breaking in the engine. It was on sale being discontinued so I used it. I have not done any bypass unless Kyle does it when he rebuilds. Not sure what is involved with this. I only have boost set at 13 psi and at full boost my AM gauge is pegged and the stock one is also over 100 psi. Cruising at 2500 rpms in 5th the stock one is between 60-90 and AM reads 75. I will change back some 10w30. I am afraid of blowing seals when boosting. Would this have anything to do with why I can rev over 8K. I seem to hit 8K pretty easily when boost hits 13 and the tires break loose. It also seems to run cold. On fresh start up it takes 15 minutes of idling before the temp gauge starts to climb.During this time oil pressure stays above 100PSI then eventually starts comes down a bit.It also seems to run alot cooler. After spirited driving I can place my hand on the upper plenum and hold it there. I don't recall being able to do this before because it was too hot. Thanks for any input.
